Ich bin ein großer Fan des Thief-Universums und auch des Reboots von 2014. Wem die Atmosphäre, das Design der Spielumgebung und die Ästhetik genauso gefallen hat wie mir, wird dieses Buch lieben. Es ist angenehm groß, sodass die Artworks voll zur Geltung kommen und durchgehend farbig mit hochqualitativen Abbildungen. Es gibt nicht nur Screenshots aus den Spielen oder so, wie man es oft in Artbooks zu sehen bekommt, sondern tatsächlich Material "hinter den Kulissen" zu sehen. Konzeptskizzen, Storyboards, T-Poses, Hintergründe und zahlreiche Insiderinformationen in Form von kurzen Interviews oder Kommentaren der Entwickler ermöglichen einen tiefen Einblick in den Design- und Enstehungsprozess des Spiels.Und es gibt ein ganzes Kapitel nur über Garrett, was mich extrem gefreut hat...

First: it was a birthday present for a very good friend and she loved every single site in this fantastic book. I was afraid she will ruin it with drooling over the pages ;) She is a big Thief fan.I'm a 2D digital artist/concept artist and I love good art books. This book is absolutely amazing, every page present gorgeous artwork and gives a good insight into the work. I played Thief myself; the sinister dark world is faszinating and adventurous at one time, and by god, Garrett's hands are sexy as f***. So the book is a must have for every art loving artbook collector!!!

Wie der Titel schon sagt, das Buch ist wirklich richtig klasse, ich staune immer wieder über die wunderschönen Art Works, die die Entwickler dort fertigen und das Buch ist auch in einem ziemlich guten Zustand, bis auf einige seltsame Einrisse auf mehreren Seiten nahe des Einbands. Vermutlich ein Fehler beim Druck/Binden. Sehr schade, aber da es sich bei den Rissen, die stellenweise sogar richtige Löcher offenbaren, nur um ein paar Seiten handelt, nicht so tragisch :)Empfehlenswert!

Ich hätte da auch 100 Euro bezahlt.Der ganze Band in einem sehr schönen Stil gemacht, Sehr Detailgetreue Bildgestaltung über 170 Seiten komplett in Farbe.Details bis ins kleinste, komplett alle Sachen und sehr schönes layout. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle Thief Fans.Hat sich auf jeden fall gelohnt. Sehr schön gemacht

Wir haben dieses Buch im Rahmen des Englischunterrichts gelesen und ich persönlich finde es unbedingt lesenswert, besonderes für Studierende der Sprache. Es reist mit, ist verständlich geschrieben und öffnet den Horizont für andere Welten, hier das Irland (und die USA) der Dreißiger und Vierziger. Ich werde mich auch am Nachfolger 'Tis versuchen.

Ein tolles Buch mit einer spannenden und bewegenden Geschichte! Ein absoluter Klassiker, hatte es in einem Ferienhaus gesehen und dort angefangen zu lesen. Musste es mir nach der Rückkehr sofort bestellen.

Das Buch am sehr pünktlich und ordentlich verpackt in einen sehr guten Zustand hier an. Der Inhalt ist authentisch erzählt und basiert auf historische Begebenheiten Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts und beschreibt die Armut und das Leben der Familie McCourt in Irland.

Ich habe mir das Buch gekauft, da wir in der Schule(8. Klasse Gymnasium) etwas Englisches lesen sollten. Die Geschichte ist sehr gut geeignet und mitreißend. Ich finde man versteht alles, da das verwendete Englisch eher einfach ist. Sehr zum Empfehlen.

Sehr gut zu lesen, "Zwischentöne" auf einzelne Gesellschaftsteile gut gelungen.Aus der Entwicklung eines jungen Menschen heraus gesehen, einfach super!Kann ich all denjenigen empfehlen, die gerne ein Buch in englisch lesen wollen und die schwierige Zeit in Irland verstehen möchten.

Ich habe das Buch gekannt und wollte nur mein Englisch verbessern, deswegen habe ich es gekauft. Das war eigentlich mein erstes Audiobuch und ich muss feststellen, dass ich voellig zufrieden bin. Das Buch ist von dem Schriftsteller persoenlich gelesen (und ab und zu gesungen), was das Ganze noch viel interessanter macht. Schade nur, dass es ein bisschen gekuerzt worden ist. Aber insgesamt bin ich mit dem Einkauf sehr zufrieden.

The book is perfect for school issues. I have read the original version as well and of couse prefered it to the short one. But as there is unusual/slang vocabulary in it, it is not appropriate for learners.We read it in 12th class and I could see how many people sruggled even with the short version. (evening class - lots of people haven't had English in years) But I'd still read it again because it's one of the most interesting books I've ever read in school (or even my life).Recommendable!!!

Das Buch gefällt meiner Tochter gut, das einzige Problem ist, das die dazugehörige CD mit den angegebenen Nummern der Lieder nicht übereinstimmt. Bei einem CD Player der die Titel der Lieder anzeigt ist das kein Problem, sonst ist das etwas schwierig

Hallo Leute, da draußen, die vorhaben E- Gitarre spielen zu lernen!!Ich hab mich vor einiger Zeit entschieden, E-Gitarre zu lernen. Ich stellte mir das ganze sehr schwer vor, weil für einen Unterricht habe ich keine Zeit, Noten kann ich auch nicht lesen, also hab ich mich schlau gemacht und bin dann auf das Rockodil Buch gestoßen.Dieses Buch gibt es beim Doblinger Verlag.Die Autoren sind Robert Morandell und Christoph GruberDiese Buch ist nicht nur total lustig gestaltet, nein auch super super einfach zu verstehen für Jung und Alt.Ich kann inzwischen schon ein paar leichte Lieder spielen und mit der beiliegenden Playalong CD zum Mitspielen komm ich mir schon vor wie ein Rockstar.Es macht irren Spaß, wirklich, manchmal nehme ich mir vor, nur eine Viertelstunde zu üben, aber dann kann ich nicht mehr aufhören und ich sitz schon wieder eine Stunde.Mir den tollen Fingerübungen wird man wirklich immer fixer und schneller.Lieber Robert, lieber Christoph….das habt ihr echt toll gemacht, ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen!! DANKE!!

Meine beiden Söhne lernen gerade anhand des Übungsheftes E-Gitarre. Ich finde es super! Mit der beiliegenden CD hören sich selbst die Anfängerübungen schon an wie vom Rockstar persönlich gespielt. Das macht Laune und motiviert durch den Erfolg!!!Ich selbst schnappe mir übringens abends das Heft und übe selbst. Ok, es ist für Kinder ab 7 Jahre gedacht- aber was solls...- ist doch egal: hauptsache einfach und verständlich erklärt! Und, ehrlich gesagt, dass es sich um eine "Kindergitarrenschule" handelt, erkennt man nur an den kindgerechten Titeln der Lieder ("das Kätzchen", "Wicki",... ) - die Melodien rocken und swingen!! Nix Kinderlieder!!

Rockodil ist eine sehr ansprechend gestaltete Schule für junge und junggebliebene E-Gitarren-Anfänger.Ähnlich wie bei üblichen Klassikschulen werden musikalische Basics, Griffbrettkenntnisse anhand von vielen sehr gelungenen Kompositionen vermittelt.Darüber hinaus werden E-Gitarren-typische Spieltechniken vorgestellt und gleich angewendet.Improvisationen und Technikdrills (und unzählige Klangbeispiele) ergänzen das.Einzig der Einsatz von farbigen Saiten am Anfang überzeugt mich nicht so sehr, da auch sehr bald wieder auf farbige Notation verzichtet wird.Alles in allem ist es ein ausgezeichnetes Buch!

Ich habe gedacht dass auch für Erwachsene Anfänger gut wäre. Aber die Lieder und Konzept ist eingentlich nur für Kiddies gedacht. Ich habe das zurück geschickt
